Now for the theme reveal. My theme for the A-Z Challenge is to write on Grammar and Punctuation with respect to Creative Writing. The letter of the day will give the topic for the blog post.

This is a learning process for me as well and I will write about grammar and punctuation tips every day using the alphabet of the day.
I plan to use the A-Z challenge to enhance my knowledge and become thorough with the nuances of grammar and writing. I will write with examples so that the reader will understand the details of my post.
I am planning to enjoy April with new learning, meeting new bloggers and finding new blogs to explore.
While the air will heat up, the quest train for knowledge will start its amazing journey. Hope to have you all for company.

My most favourite TED talk

I love watching TED talks. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment , Design . They often create talks that come with the tag line, ideas worth spreading. You can watch thousands of these videos on youtube and they give you glimpses into ideas that are worth spreading.

My most favorite Ted talk is one given by Elizabeth Gilbert where she talks about her elusive creative genius, the secret power behind her creativity, behind every creative entity.

It talks about the success that came with her book EAT, PRAY, LOVE and how people just expect her to recreate the magic of the book in her next books. It tells of her insecurities, her fears and the blocks that she encountered in her writing journey. Read the full script of the talk HERE.

This is one talk that I hear over and over again to get inspired to get over my inertia.

Truly motivating, this one talk can do wonders to your writing spirit. It is hilarious, thought provoking and informative at the same time. I adore Elizabeth Gilbert and this talk just glorifies the spirit that Elizabeth Gilbert is.

So folks, find a silent corner and listen to the genius talk about the elusive creative genius.

Whitney My Love: A book review

Blurb: Under the dark sensual eyes of Clayton Westmoreland, the Duke of Claymore, Whitney Stone grew from a saucy hoyden into a ravishingly sensual woman. Fresh from her triumps in the Paris Society, she returned to England to win the heart of Paul, her childhood love…only to be bargained away by her bankrupt father to the handsome, arrogant Duke. Outraged, she defies her new lord. But even his smouldering passion seduces her into a gathering storm of desire, Whitney cannot-and will not-relinquish her dream of perfect love.

About Judith McNaught
Judith McNaught is an American best-selling author, with more than a dozen contemporary and historical romance novels under her belt. She has authored titles such as Something Wonderful, Someone Like You, Every Breath You Take, Double Exposure, and Night Whispers.

My Review:

This is one book which made me a big fan of Judith Mc naught. She is a brilliant storyteller and the reader is transported into early 19th century England. You find the characters brimming with life and passion.
When the story begins in 1816, Whitney is depicted as the Tomboy who is trying to win the attention of her crush, the local hero Paul Severin, who doesn’t consider her as anything but a nuisance. Her father packs her off with her Aunt to Paris to teach her to be a lady. The Tomboy Whitney transforms into the sensational debutante in Paris Society and the Duke of Claymore is enamoured by her enough to strike a deal with her father to make her his wife.

After that, he sets off to win Whitney’s heart, which is still set on Paul Severin. The story goes on to tell how her initial hatred towards the Duke transforms into true love.

The Duke of Claymore is passionate and truthful to the core. I absolutely loved the characterizations of both the Duke and Whitney. There isn’t a dull moment in the entire book and the way romance grows between the two is explained with such brilliance in narration. A literary treat that focuses on the love story of Whitney, her musings and her fears.

It is the ultimate love story, one that will touch your heart with the love that it portrays. A love that is often absent from many of other romances of today where lust rules. This is true love in its purest form. You can dream about this forever.

While you are reading, you will fall in love with the Duke of Claymore, Clayton Westmoreland and his ladylove, Whitney Stone.

Pick this book up if you love reading historical romance.
This is one book, which I am going to cherish forever. I will pick it up whenever I want a dose of romance in its purest form.
